so we may recall
Stephen Armitstead & Lia McKnight

so we may recall celebrates the 100 year history of the Subiaco Museum building with 8 temporary art works created by artists Stephen Armitstead and Lia McKnight. The art works have been commissioned as part of the city’s Works for Walls public art program. The Works for Walls program seeks to enhance the urban environment, develop partnerships between artists, the city and local businesses and provided artists with spaces to work. The artists responded with a series of temporary light and sound installations that take inspiration from architectural features and contents of the museum building. The works provoke memory, discovery and shifts perceptions.

The installations are located among laneways off Rokeby Road (near the Rowland St carpark) and at the Museum site itself. A map of the locations is provided in the catalogue linked below.

On view from December 1, 2011 to March 31, 2012.
